Open the XMultiWindow app from your app drawer to get started. Tap Sidebar Settings in the app, tap Sidebar App Settings, and use the Add button to add the apps you want to multitask with here. The apps you add to this list will appear in the sidebar so you can open them in split-screen mode.

How do you open two apps at the same time on Samsung?
To access Multi Window, open the first app and then tap Recent, which is located to the left of the Home button. Tap the desired app's icon, and then tap Open in split screen view.
How do I force split screen?
To force them to allow split-screen mode:
- enable developer settings on the phone if it isn't already.
- open Android's Settings app.
- enable the System > Developer options > Force activities to be re-sizable option. (it should be at the very bottom…)
- restart the phone.

It's not gone, just placed elsewhere. Apparently due to conflict with Google policies they had to disable the multitasking button long-press, so now you have to tap the multitasking button, and long-press on the app (the icon at the top, not the app preview) you want to enable for multi-window.
